The Venus Climate Database (VCD) is a Venusian climatology derived from the The Venus Planetary Climate Model (see below) and validated using available observational data.
A video presenting the VCD, its features, characteristics, installation procedure and use was prepared by Jenna Salminen (Univ. of Helsinki) during her internship at LMD in spring 2023 : watch it here ! (18'33)
For more informations, please see the VCD web documentation.
The Venus Planetary Climate Model (V-PCM) is freely available; please contact Sébastien Lebonnois
The Venus Mesoscale Model
The WRF dynamical core, coupled to the Venus PCM physics package, enables to study meso- and micro-scale processes such as convection or small scale gravity waves (Lefevre et al. 2017, 2018, 2020).
